Humanity, $3,000 to help defray the day-to-day expenses
Immaculate Conception Church, Hugo, $1,000
Blood Drives:
151 pints of
blood were donated to the Red Cross in the three blood drives
which were held in September, November and March.
Other ministries in which St. Bernard’s parishioners were
involved include Bible study and worship services at Connors State
Prison in Hominy and David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center in
Tulsa; $1,000 was donated for the CROP to benefit the hungry.
Numerous baby items and supplies were collected for the Madonna
House and other household items were donated to Emergency Services
of Catholic Charities. The holiday adopt-a-family program
provided food for 280+ families at Thanksgiving and 304+ families
were helped during the Christmas season. We co-sponsored a
Christmas party and provided nearly 200 gifts for abused children
from Family and Children Services.
Finally in addition to the above our parish has contributed the
following:
$15,300 to Catholic Charities (St. Elizabeth’s Lodge, St.
Joseph’s Residence and Madonna House)
$4,700 to Domestic Violence Intervention Services and Call Rape
Inc.
$3,600 to Adopt-a parish to help support St. Joseph’s parish in
Stigler, Ok.
$2,400 to help support St. Francis parish in Tulsa
$2,400 to Neighbor for Neighbor in North Tulsa
$900 Newman Center
$500 to Oklahoma Collation to abolish Death
Penalty
