ABOUT ENDOW
To educate women towards a deeper, more profound understanding of their God-given dignity and vocation as women.”
ENDOW (Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women) brings women together to discover their God-given dignity and to understand their role in humanizing and transforming society. ENDOW provides women with a forum through which to explore and understand what it means to be a feminine person created in God's image. As a basis for discovery, ENDOW promotes the New Feminism, which is defined by Pope John Paul II. The New Feminism recognizes and affirms the "true genius of women" and responds to our culture's desperate need for an authentic feminine presence in every aspect of life and society.
ENDOW educates and inspires women through small study groups and engages the intellect of the "woman in the pew." By providing knowledge and fellowship in an intimate group setting, ENDOW also fosters a sense of belonging and gives women an opportunity to deeply understand and personalize the faith that draws us together and the fellowship that keeps us together. Both faith and fellowship are integral to our formation as women. ENDOW attracts women from all walks of life and helps women realize that, no matter what they "do" in life, they all share a common desire for love and respect. Although society places a high priority on a person's skill, appearance and usefulness, ENDOW teaches women that their dignity originates from their personhood.
Unfortunately, in the past, traditional feminism divided and categorized women. ENDOW brings women together, to unite instead of divide. We are able to unite women by focusing on the unique gifts given to all women. Principally, this universal commonality points a woman toward her vocation. All women struggle to find balance and purpose in their lives. ENDOW believes that, once women know who they are as God intended, they can support and nurture the rest of the community. This ultimately helps others grow in knowledge and virtue.

ENDOW is a growing Ecclesiastical organization, and the majority of the people involved in ENDOW are Catholic women in the pews of parishes across the country. Like dioceses or individual parishes, ENDOW is open to all spiritualities recognized by the Catholic Church. This is the distinctive charism of ENDOW: a blend of the many beautiful spiritualities within the Church working together to offer a program of study on Catholic feminism. ENDOW's leadership and participants include: members of the Third Order Carmelites, members of the Christian Life Movement, Third Order Dominicans, Third Order Franciscans, members of Neocatechumenal Way, cooperators of Opus Dei, members of Regnum Christi, Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan and Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of St. Cecilia of Nashville, Tennessee-among others!

ENDOW at Saint Bernard's
Presently, Endow has a total of 9 programs for adults and 2 programs for adolescents with several more in the works. Endow recommends that each woman begin with "Letter to Women".
We plan to offer the "Letter to Women" at least once in the Fall and Spring during the year to start new groups on the Endow journey. The parish will contribute to the registration for these new groups by paying $20 toward each participants registration fee. See more information for the Fall 2009 schedule and download the registration form.
We will always be looking for women to facilitate new groups, so please let us know if you would be interested in facilitator training. It is a relatively simple process and very rewarding.
The church will continue to be a meeting place for any group that wishes to use a meeting room there. Registration for further studies will be done individually online, once a facilitator has registered the class with Endow. Endow has scholarships available at a cost of $30.
If you have further questions, please contact Kelsie Thomas.
