The worship opportunities at St. Bernard's are vast. Please consider getting involved in Eucharistic Adoration, the Mass Ministries, and more with music! We have a robust music program at St. Bernard's, and we hope you find a group to get involved with. Talent is always welcome! Additionally, we provide music for special events including weddings and funerals.

WEDDINGS

Getting married at St. Bernard’s? Congratulations! Here’s some information that should be helpful in planning your music:

Contact Music Director/Organist Monica Stephenson at (918) 299-9406 to arrange a consultation time well in advance of your wedding date. This should take about 15 minutes. When choosing music for your wedding ceremony, remember that all music should reflect the reverence and dignity of this sacred union. If you desire music not familiar to the organist and cantor, please provide music in desired key.

Because wedding stipends are considered part of the St. Bernard musicians’ salaries, and because we have much invested in our sound system and music instruments, use of musicians outside of the Parish of St. Bernard is not permitted without permission of the Music Director/Organist. The standard fee for a Cantor is $175. The standard fee for an Organist is $225.

FUNERALS

As you plan the funeral for someone close to you, know that we all hold you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Here’s some information that should be helpful in planning your music:

As you choose music for the funeral service, please help us locate unfamiliar music by providing sheet music, or at the least full name of the composition and name of the composer. We’ll do our best. When choosing music for the funeral liturgy, please remember the sacredness of the occasion. Non-sacred favorites can be used in the reception. Contact Music Director/Organist Monica Stephenson at (918) 299-9406 to arrange a time to meet.
