DISCOVERING CHRIST/FOLLOWING CHRIST
The Discovering Christ series focuses on how Jesus provides meaning and purpose for our lives and what it means to have a relationship with him. The series is endorsed by our Pastor, Msgr. Gaalaas, as well as our Parish Council and staff.
The format for each session includes a thought-provoking presentation followed by small group discussion, which is facilitated by a trained volunteer.
Discovering Christ is not just for parishioners of Saint Bernard Church. It’s a great resource for those who have left the Catholic Church, those Christians who may not be Catholic and even for non-Christians who are curious about Jesus. Discovering Christ was developed by ChristLife, a national Catholic ministry based in Maryland, and has been an effective resource for Catholic renewal in parishes all over the United States.
For those who have participated in Discovering Christ, the next course in the ChristLife series is called Following Christ. Following Christ focuses on how to live a full Catholic Christian life 24/7. Sessions will address prayer, Scripture, Sacraments, Forgiveness, Guidance of the Holy Spirit, Overcoming Temptations and the Heart of a Disciple. It is planned to offer Following Christ early in 2021.
For more information and to register for the next series, contact Deacon Tim Sullivan, Director of Evangelization. Please provide your name, email address, and cell phone number.
